Formed in Summer of 1994 The Gourds has been a mainstay of Austin and the National roots music scene for a decade. Having produced a solid 8 recordings and toured far and wide, the boys are still playing fab shows and burning lots of rubber on the tires of their well travelled van.
Matt Powell is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, left handed Taurus living in Austin, Texas.
