“We have discovered that Luckenbach, on the globe, is right in the middle of the world, and we figure that if God hadn’t intended for us to be the center of the world, He wouldn’t have put us here.”

Luckenbach's Legendary Picker Circle w/Jimmy Lee Jones
Jimmy Lee Jones, a living legend known throughout the state of Texas, was once referred to by Willie Nelson as "the best kept secret in Texas"...this coming from the icon of Texas music known the world over.
Hosting this week is Hayden Whittington and joining Hayden is poet Walter Perryman!
Hayden has been playing guitar since he was sixteen but it was Jerry Jeff's "Viva Terlingua" album that set him on his current musical path. He began performing Texas and folk style music in New Mexico in the late 70's and the later branched out into classic Western music like he listened to while a youngster. He performed as part of the cowboy balladeer duo "The Pards" for over a decade and has performed the old classics in West Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado. They have opened for several Western artists including Don Edwards and Michael Martin Murphey. Hayden currently has begun performing solo doing some combination of the Texas and Western music which blend together to make a unique style of entertainment. His guitar and vocals mixed with down home yodelin' and country humor are in a class of their own. Hayden's Luckenbach roots run back to the mid 70's and he has remained a returning visitor and picker over the years. After recently relocating to the Hill Country Hayden has been able to become more involved in the Luckenbach family of pickers.
