Beginning Friday, Sept 7, Mike Blakely will be hosting his fifth annual TexAmericana Fandango in historic Luckenbach. The Fandango is a great celebration of Texas songwriters, musicians, authors and artists. The Fandango will be a three day event from Friday evening through late Sunday afternoon. It will be a great weekend experience. Primitive camping will be accommodated at this year’s event.
Beginning Friday evening at 6pm, Mike Blakely and Jeff “Wild Horse” Posey will kick things off followed by Tina Mitchell Wilkins, Tommy Alverson, Debbi Walton and Sweet Soul Vibe, Augie Meyers and Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros.
Saturday music will begin with ShAnnie on the outdoor stage at 2pm followed by W.C Jameson, The Hudsons, Texas Renegade Band, Brennan Leigh, Ben Beckendorf Band, Bobby Bridger, Rusty Wier, Steven Fromholz, Thomas Michael Riley. The evening will end with Mike Blakely Y Los Whiskey Trading Yahoos in the Luckenbach Dance Hall.
Informal “Cowboy Church” service will be held at noon on Sunday with Thomas Michael Riley, Larry Nye, Randy Johnson and Mike Blakely plus Cousin Jimmy Adams. The Fandango will conclude with an impressive slate of Texas authors to the book signing. Readings, music, wine tasting, art and more from 2pm to 5pm. Featured authors are Steven Fromholz – Poet Laureate of Texas, Mike Blakely, Bobby Bridger, Laurie Wagner Buyer, Mary Elizabeth Goldman, Jan Grape, Bill Chambers, Bill Groneman, Russ Hall, W.C. Jameson, Paulette Jiles, Ben Rehder, and Dr. Paul Spellman.
Friday and Sunday will be FREE while a $25 entrance fee will get you in for all of the entertainment on Saturday and that evening as well. Camping is $5 per person and campers will be required to purchase a ticket for Saturday.
